What to look for in vacuum chamber manufacturers

Aluminum is another common material used in vacuum chamber systems. While it is less durable than stainless steel when it comes to knife edge seals, aluminum has the benefit of being lightweight and often more affordable. However, it is important to ensure that the aluminum used is of high quality and the right thickness in order to maintain structural integrity and prevent warping. For an allowable amount of deflection, aluminum must be 3 times thicker than stainless steel.
